Youth Leadership Programme (YLP) Lebanon

Description

The Youth Leadership Programme (YLP) has been developed to address the needs of young men and women in the Arab Region, with the core of the programme having been designed to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment. Beyond that, YLP tackled notions of tolerance, acceptance of others, coexistence, inclusiveness, diversity and community cohesiveness as a principle and way of life. The programme brings together more than 30 young men and women from different backgrounds and ideologies, and from almost every corner of the Arab region. It lasts a week and focuses on building the youth’s skills in using innovative tools to design new and innovative initiatives that relate to the conflicts, characteristics, and fabric of their environment and local communities. The programme approach allows for as much open expression of stories, concerns, frustrations and dreams as possible before working through sets of strategies and strategic interventions.
