Professional History: Temilade Denton is Head of Impact and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) at Alitheia Capital, her investment speciality. She is focused on creating systemic social impacts through sustainable growth solutions that yield financial and social long-term returns for businesses in sub-Saharan Africa. Alitheia IDF - at $100 million - is the first and largest private equity fund that proactively invests in gender-smart businesses on the continent. It was established to increase and improve financial and social outcomes for women by driving investment into a diversified portfolio of women-owned, women-led, or women-serving SMEs.
Prior to her work at Alitheia Capital, Temilade built experience in social development, working with a range of international and local organisations. These include the UN Educational United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO); the International Labour Organization (ILO); the Economic Community for West African States (ECOWAS); the Centre for Public Policy Alternatives (CPPA); and Growing Businesses Foundation.
Temilade has also served a number of community organisations, including the Executive Committee of A Thousand; Lekki Youth Organisation; and, Living Fountain Orphanage.
